End of Life Doulas are happy to provide clients and their loved ones with what they need in the moment. This can be anything from a coffee run, to helping write letters to family to be delivered after a client’s passing. They can provide assistance with final arrangements and respite for caregivers. They can also help with smaller things that can make a big impact and are sometimes overlooked, such as playing favorite music, reading aloud from a favorite book, filling the room with a favorite scent, or making sure the lighting is to the client’s liking. Sometimes they are simply a loving presence to hold hands and provide a listening ear.
